Meeting Life As It Is: Finding Steadiness & Connection Right Where You Are (via Hirsch Wellness)
When the crowded refugee boats met with storms or pirates, if every one panicked, all would be lost. But if even one person stayed calm, it was enough. It showed the way for everyone to survive.
–Thich Nhat Hanh
Work stress, a diagnosis, current events, relationships and family, past trauma, the pace of modern life…everyday we are pushed and pulled by stressors and challenges. How do we meet these in a grounded, centered way? Is it possible to remain poised as we face the difficulties of life?
The teachings of mindfulness meditation offer insights and guidance on how we can bring steadiness to our hearts and minds even as we meet challenging circumstances, and how we can stay connected to ourselves and others through simple but profound practices.
Join us for a day of teachings and meditations that guide us towards steadiness, calm and connection right where we are. The day will include teachings and meditation sessions, with the option of practicing noble silence for those who are interested. The retreat will be held at St. Francis Springs Prayer Center in Stoneville, NC from 10am-4pm. Hope to see you there!
This retreat is offered through the Hirsch Wellness Network (www.hirschwellnessnetwork.org).
